We call this a 'spiral of inspiration'.
We equip young people with the skills required to make positive life choices and support them in their growth and development.
The Youth Life Project is centered around the voice of the youth, therefore being the charity they want and need us to be.

Original Press Release
Swindon, November 2011 - The Youth Life Project charity has been launched in response to the media scrutiny of the youth following the August riots of 2011 to communicate the thoughts, feelings and concerns of the unheard youth.
The Youth Life Project aims to restore the faith lost in young people and equip them with the skills required to make positive life choices. Providing a service for young people in the region aged 10-19 to utilise, The Youth Life Project is born from the passion of its founder Danielle Brown for the care and well-being of young people.
The Youth Life Project Founder Danielle, 27, has extensive experience in the charity arena working on a voluntary basis with children of all ages in youth centres and youth groups. As a keen organiser of fundraising events, creating a charity close to her heart was always going to be Danielle’s next step.
“Building a better and brighter future for the next generation of young people was the driving force behind taking my passion of charity work to the next level”, said Danielle. “Young carers, parents and the vulnerable are all in need of a voice that will speak up for them and this is what we strive to do at The Youth Life Project. We need to hear more about the positive things the young people are doing“
“We are committed to providing help and support for young people, to help them reach their full potential. These young adults are in great need of inspirational role-models and at The Youth Life Project we intend to support their development to become upstanding citizens and role models. “I remain a huge believer in community spirit and embracing that spirit with the youth. It is important that we ensure youth feel a sense of belonging and consider themselves key stakeholders in their communities in order for them to be the best that they can be.”
Danielle Brown is seeking further funding to support The Youth Life Project, if you are interested in supporting the project please email youthlifeproject@gmail.com

Woman Who Died In London Marathon, Was Raising Money In Memory Of Dead Brother
Claire Squires was running for her dead brother.
Claire Squires was running for her dead brother
Her brother Grant Squires, who suffered from depression after a car accident in which his girlfriend died, is reported to have died after taking an overdose drugs in 2001.
Claire's brother was just 25 when he ended his life.
A friend of the family told the Daily Mail: "To lose one child is just terrible, but to lose another – it’s a nightmare. They are a lovely family, and all the siblings were really close, so it was awful for them when Grant died. Now to lose Claire as well, it is just awful."
Donations have been pouring in for the 30-year-old's chosen charity since her death. By Tuesday morning the account had raised almost £300,000 for charity.
Squires' mother, a care home manager, volunteered for the Samaritans for 24 years, according to The Telegraph.
"I'm running the london marathon for Samaritans because they continuously support others" Squires Just Giving page declared.
"It was just going to be for fun. but its a fab opportunity to raise money for my charity the Samaritans if everyone i know could donate £5.00 that would be a great help and change lives." she wrote.
Squires, from North Kilworth in Leicestershire, fell to the ground as she made her way along Birdcage Walk, near St James' Park, on the final stretch of 26.2 mile course.
Tests to establish her cause of death are expected to take place in the coming days. She is the 10th person to die taking part in the London Marathon since it started in 1981.
Close friend Nicola Short paid tribute to Squires describing her as an "inspiration" who brought laughter and love to everyone's life.
The pair climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for the RAF Association last year, raising £1,500 for the charity.
Paying tribute on the association's website, Short said: "Claire is an inspiration to us all. She brought laughter and love to everyone's life. She will be sorely missed by all.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time."
In a statement on its website, the association, which works to support serving and former RAF personnel and their families, said: "It is with great sadness that the RAF Association has heard of the tragic death of Claire Squires, 30, following the London Marathon on Sunday.
"Claire was a wonderfully vibrant and energetic person, who was a keen charity supporter and loved by all who knew her. Claire's efforts in support of the RAF Association helped to raise hundreds of pounds for our charity and that is something for which we will always be grateful.
"In 2010 she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and also took part in other fundraising events in support of the RAF Family in recent years."
Catherine Johnstone, chief executive of Samaritans, said the organisation was deeply saddened at news of her death.
She said: "We are devastated following the tragic death of one of our marathon runners and are supporting the family through this very difficult time. Our thoughts are with everyone who knew her.
"We appreciate all that our marathon runners do; it is with their support, commitment and fundraising efforts that that we are able to offer our vital service for people with nowhere else to turn." the 26.2 mile course. She was given medical attention by paramedics but died at the scene.

Thoughts and facts on bullying
Bullying is something which most of us have experienced or seen in our lives. It's sad to think that a lot of people who are bullied, often retreat into their own worlds and are too ashamed to reach out for help, and are often too scared to trust anyone. It's even more disheartening to know that bullying can drive some people to suicide! -That right there is the seriousness of it all, BULLYING KILLS! "Bullied children are 6 times more likely to contemplate suicide than their non-bullied counterparts"As a parent I understand that myself, along with school teachers, are the biggest influence in my children's lives. With my help and guidance my children learn to live and understand life in general, my children rely on me for security and they know they can turn to me to confide in. "18% of children and young people who worried about bullying said they would not talk to their parents about it". My daughter aged 8, is bubbly, bright, confident, cheeky and full of life, but throughout most of last year [2011] this was not the case. She suffered at the hands of a bully in her school class and the confident young girl we know was now quiet, withdrawn, emotional and insecure. As a parent, all you want is for your children to be happy and most of all to be safe. She doesn't know it, but I cried for her on many occasions. "Almost half (46%) of children and young people say they have been bullied at school at some point in their lives" Even when myself along with her school worked hard and put a stop to the bullying, and built her confidence back up, she still wasn't the same girl she always was. This is because she felt intimidated by the other girl. It was only when the girl in question moved schools, that my daughter got her spark back and is now the ever loving cheeky little girl that everyone loves. But how would she be today if the girl had not have left that school?
This is my point.. It is not always enough to just intervene and stop the bullying itself from happening. It is not always enough to help the victim in feeling safe, secure and confident. When all that is done, the bully is still a bully, being told no and being watched closely doesn't always change a big deal. We need to find out why they bully, we need to go deeper into the situation to prevent it ever happening again and furthermore we need to then assure the victim of the changes made and assure them it wont be happening again. If we can change their mentality and install remorse then this will play a big part in prevention.
I know that this method does take place, but in my opinion it should happen with every situation and not just the serious ones. Here at TYLP we believe that early intervention is the best prevention. We shouldn't wait for a situation to become extreme before we take the biggest actions. As I stated earlier... BULLYING KILLS. "Each year 10-14 youth suicides are directly attributed to bullying"
