TYLP's First Fund-Raiser

The Youth Life Project fundraising event in May

| 19/03/2012 | 0 Comments
Following the launch of The Youth Life Project in October 2011, the newly registered charity has announced the first in a series of fundraising events taking place in Swindon over the spring.

In a bid to raise £2,000 for the charity, the fundraiser marks the first landmark event since the formation of The Youth Life Project (TYLP).

The Youth Life Project aims to restore the faith lost in young people and equip them with the skills required to make positive life choices. Providing a service for young people in the region aged 10-19 to utilise, The Youth Life Project is born from the passion of its founder Danielle Brown for the care and well-being of young people.

‘will be held at The Running Horse’

The event taking place on Monday 7th May will be held at The Running Horse Pub located on Wootton Bassett Road, Swindon. Aiming to raise money and awareness for The Youth Life Project, the charity is urging the local community to come down on the day and enjoy the festivities.

‘first fundraising event’

“I am delighted to be announcing the first fundraising event for The Youth Life Project” said TYLP founder Danielle Brown.

‘dream come true and a very exciting time’

“This is a personal dream come true and a very exciting time for TYLP. With the ongoing support from The Running Horse pub and The Carney Charles Foundation this event has come to fruition and we welcome everybody in the area to come along and get involved with the activities we have planned for a fun-filled day.
“With a range of activities available for guests to participate in, we really do have something suitable for every age group. There will be various workshops including, beauty, street art and music, as well as a host of fun activities ranging from a bouncy castle, hair braiding, henna and face painting to Zumba dance and a BBQ serving the best in traditional British and West Indian cuisine, not forgetting a raffle with some lovely prizes to be won and even a rubber duck race. This event promises to be a great day out for the whole family and one which, we hope, will attract a lot of visitors.

“We have a number of taster events in the works and expect to be announcing a date for The Youth Life Project’s official launch party shortly, which will be held late summer 2012. TYLP has come a long way since our formation and we plan on being around to help the youth come rain, sleet or snow but let’s hope for some sun first,” concluded Danielle.
