Tom Schaar lands first ever 1080º aged 12!

Most skaters have been dreaming of landing a 1080º their whole lives and then Tom Schaar comes along at the age of 12 and makes the impossible a reality. Check it out below

We have to give props to this kid,
GrindTV reports that Schaar became one of just a handful of skaters to land a 900 last October. The young skater has made the 900 a routine trick during competitions and has landed it more than 50 times to date. With the 900 under control, Schaar set his eyes on skating history and started working on the 1080.
According to Transworld, Schaar landed the 1080 during his first session.
Schaar said:
“I did it fifth try, which I thought it would take me three days of trying it 40 times.  I was definitely high enough and I could tell I was definitely spinning fast enough and right about at the 720 (second spin), I saw the coping again and I was still two to three feet above the coping.  I got around that last 360 and I was just amazed.”
Jeff Jewett, who has trained Schaar, said
“This is the first session that Tom even attempted the 1080… His 720′s – phenomenal.  His 900′s on Mega – one of the best. The future for Tom Schaar is bright.  If he’s getting 1080′s at twelve-years old, I got no idea! It’s going to be a lot of fun to watch, giving him the platform that is MegaRamp and letting him paint his own future on it is going to be incredible.”
Schaar’s accomplishment quickly spread through the skating world with legendary riders like Tony Hawk and Bob Burnquist tweeting their praise for the young skater. Hawk said:
“I’ve seen Shaun White try 1080s & Mitchie Brusco crash-land a few… Tom Schaar nailed it.”
Burnquist added:
“Tom Schaar is a little giant and a spinning machine. Amazing. Look forward to learning a lot from him in the future.”   -Original source-
