It Was All a Dream..

The Youth Life Project

IT WAS ALL A DREAM...

Starting a charity has always been a dream for me; my passion for helping young people would be the perfect motivation to set up The Youth Life Project. Every young person should have support and positive guidance, for some this necessity is out of reach. Financial pressures mean some parents are fighting to hold down several jobs just to provide for their children, some children are even less fortunate. Every child deserves a support network.

August 2011 would be the catalyst to make this dream reality. The summer riots, left many people with negative thoughts about young people creating a sense of lost hope for our youth, our future. This needed to change! Together with some inspiring words from a very close friend, I decided to make a stand for the youth who had been marginalised without a chance to stand up for themselves - after all the riots were the actions of the few and an unfair reflection on the majority of the youth who were outraged by the events which unfolded in their communities.

And so The Youth Life Project was born.

WHEN A DREAM BECOMES REALITY...

A Swindon/Wiltshire based charity for those aged 10-19 years old. TYLP is a unique charity in every sense of the word. The charity is here to provide support and guidance to our young people, empowering them to reach their full potential by helping to build a better and brighter future. Not only for themselves but for the next generation of youth, creating future community leaders and role models we call this a ‘spiral of inspiration’.

We can also provide information on the latest fashion trends, music, sport and other areas of youth interest. It's not every day you can visit your local charity and discuss the newest release of Nike trainers. What other charity can help find out about the newest mixtape release? Or even where to find more work from your favourite artist.

Fashion, art & music...Okay, so they're not things you would usually associate with a charity BUT they are just some of the things that you'd associate with youth culture. So why not combine the two? At The Youth Life Project we pride ourselves on being the whole package. We are here to help young people into work, help with social issues, promote positivity amongst the youth, provide advice on further education, build confidence and tackle bullying. The list goes on...and on... and on. We strive to be the charity that can support young people with ANYTHING from career advice to offering confidential chats on sexual health issues. The Youth Life Project is a one-stop shop covering all the issues affecting the youth.
We are current, cool and relevant...THE WHOLE PACKAGE!
