Microsoft have unveiled their future console in the Xbox line. The Xbox SmartGlass is essentially an app for mobile devices that can stream content. It will also allow those mobile devices to double up as a secondary display of sorts, particularly useful during gaming. Added social functionality is a bonus for the SmartGlass’ experience. It’s said that video functionality is compatible with iOS and Android devices, and extended game functionality appears was specifically noted for Windows devices only (i.e. Windows 8 tablets and Windows Phone devices).
