Jordan Brand brings us this amazing campaign for women with their first of four documentary shorts #RiseAbove video featuring Laylan, a 20-year-old female who lives in Iraq and has a major love of basketball. Highlighting what it is to love sports, and to follow your dreams as well as showing us what it's like to be a girl who just wants to play basketball in a culture that frowns upon it .I'm loving this concept and i'm excited at what could be an amazing availability of footwear and apparel sized for women (not that we haven't already been rocking Jordan sneakers).
In Iraq, women aren’t supposed to play basketball. And yet, that hasn’t stopped the country’s young female hoopers from pursuing their passion. Jordan Brand brings us the inspiring story in mini-documentary form.

Jordan Brand: Takeover Backpack

The Takeover Backpack is released from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Jordan Brand, and it comes in three distinct colorways – navy, black, and purple.The Takeover Backpack is made completely from polyester materials, the 30-liter capacity bag is equipped with a top loading cover flap, the bag closes with a drawstring and has a vertical zip on the front that offers easy access to the contents. It is also fitted with two large mesh compartments on its side, for putting drinks, MP3 players etc. All three styles are currently in stock at Kinetics in Tokyo.

Air Jordan 1 Phat: 'Olympic'

 

Courtesy of Jordan Brand, official images of the latest Olympics-themed silhouette to carry the iconic Jumpman logo. This special edition Air Jordan 1 Phat carries a mix of materials, featuring a white leather overlay and obsidian nubuck at the toe, quarter and padded collar, as well as an obsidian leather tongue with a USA-themes colourway.. Additional details on the classically styled mid-cut shoe include a white leather Swoosh, a gold set of laces and red Jordan branding. The iconic model will drop in time for the 2012 London Olympic games (scheduled for a July release).

Air Jordan 4 Retro 'Military Blue' - retro jordan

Celebrating the 23rd anniversary of the Jordan Brand silhouette, the classic Air Jordan IV ‘Military Blue’ looks just like it did when it was originally launched in 1989 with a white leather upper, hints of grey and Military Blue accents throughout. The upcoming Military Blues will be the latest of five Air Jordan IVs that Jordan Brand will release in 2012. These are a true classic and one not to be missed for footwear fans. Jordan CP3.V - Year of the Dragon: Release Date

Inspired by the Nine-Dragon Wall found at Beijing’s Forbidden City imperial complex, the Jordan CP3.V – Year of the Dragon features the same blue tint and gold motif as the wall itself. Said to be a semblance of the Azure Dragon, an auspicious creature with penchant to the water elementals, the special edition Jordan CP3.V continues dragon’s legend with its nimble and strong designs. With a visage of Chris Paul soaring through the air in mind, Jordan Brand designers translated that graphically into a series of cloud patterns applied throughout the entire package, from wrapping paper to its translucent outsole. The Azure Dragon itself is placed upon the shoe’s tongue as well as its sockliner. The design reprises Azure Dragon in Chinese characters as the outsole graphics. The Jordan CP3.V Year of the Dragon will be available at select Jordan Brand retail locations this coming Thursday.

Jordan Son Of Mars 'Black/Varsity Red'

The wait if finally over as the Jordan brand's latest hybrid sneaker Son Of Mars 'Black/Varsity Red' has dropped! These follow the successes of the Son Of Mars 'Pop Art' and 'Club Purple', which both took off in a matter of days, and has since graced the feet of celebrities including Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. If you look closely at the images you will notice these sneakers are inspired by a number of different shoes from the Jordan Retro series: There's the Elephant Print from the Jordan 3 on the heel and at the front, the lacing system from the Jordan 4, the 'lace block' and sole from the Jordan 5 with the famous shark teeth design on the side, the raised profile and ankle design from the Jordan 6 and the great strap from the Jordan 20, all coming together for this stunning design!
